What to Wear & What to Bring

Clothing

Pupils should wear non baggy shorts and a t-shirt to class. It is also a good idea to bring trackies and a jumper to wear while warming up and when leaving class. Basically - typical gym clothing is fine, you just need to be able to move easily.

Skirts are only permitted if shorts are worn underneath.

Our own RAID training outfits are now available and can be purchased through the school. Dancer's are encouraged to wear these at competitions and performances. Please speak to Andrew for further information if you wish to order one.

Footwear

When starting out, beginner dancers are welcome to dance in sneakers until they are sure they want to continue. If you already have dance sneakers or ballet slippers from other dance classes these would be perfect.

Once you have decided to carry on with dancing (especially if you are looking to compete) you will need to purchase the proper shoes. These are available in Adelaide through Carmel & Don Hogan (contact details available from Andrew). It may also be possible to purchase second hand shoes through the school.

Other things to bring

All dancers should bring a drinks bottle with them to class. Water or non-fizzy drinks are best.
