Prince Alfred College is ideally situated in Adelaide. For those
living locally, the venue is just outside the city so easy to get
to from all directions either by car or public transport.
For those travelling from interstate, Adelaide Airport is serviced
by all major airlines with flights from all Australian Capital Cities.
Taxis and care hire are available from the main terminal. There
is plenty of accommodation in the vicinity of the feis venue, including
the Royal Coach Motor Inn just next door.
Adelaide CBD offers a wide range of fast food (including McDonalds,
Hungry Jacks, Oporto, Sumo Salad etc) in the food courts of City
X and Myer Centre both of which are on Rundle Mall. For those looking
for something a little more "real" there is a huge variety
of restaurants and cafes in the City Centre as well as North Adelaide
and Norwood. There is also a Cinema at Norwood if you fancy watching
a film to unwind after a long day's feising.
For shopping, Rundle Mall is the main precinct in Adelaide, with
a wide range of high street shops, while The Parade in Norwood,
and nearby Burnside Village offer more choices.
If you're here with the kids for the weekend, why not take trip
to see the Panda's, Wang Wang & Funi? For the over 18's, mums
and dads, the National Wine Centre is also close by, situated in
the Botanic Gardens. Glenelg is just a tram ride away from the city
centre, for more excellent shopping, cafes, bars & clubs. Glenelg
is also home to the Beach House, with slides, rides and amusments.
Adelaide has an excellent public transport system including trams
and busses so getting around is not a problem even without a car.
