Very elegant style suited for older dancers. Costume looks
great with either socks or tights depending on which you prefer.
Main fabric is black crushed velvet. Appliqué is worked in
an unusual shade of chartreuse yellowy green silk. Sleeves,
neckline and panels over the skirt are the same silk with
an overlay of green and yellow sequins. The skirt lining and
soft shawl are also in the silk. Appliqués have been adorned
with 100's of Swarovski crystals for extra sparkle and the
shoulder of the shawl is finished with a vintage rhinestone
brooch.
The dress is a modern soft skirt with appliqué and panels
which sit over the top (these are not super stiff, they just
sit over the soft skirt). A separate black tulle tutu is also
included which helps the skirt sit out nicely. The dress is
two piece - skirt is attached to a plain black cotton bodice
with the main bodice separate.
Comes with a matching headband in the green silk/sequins,
with black velvet ribbon trim and crystals.
Was made for a 6ft tall UK/AUS size 10 dancer but could be
easily altered. The skirt and bodice could both be shortened
without major impact on the design. The bodices both have
let out room - 1" in each side seam and 1" at the
zipper with corresponding let out in the skirt. Sleeves are
finished with a removable cuff so could be easily shortened.
In good condition - 7 months old, smoke and pet free home,
no bad smells!
