Irish dancers at the Reel Rhythms Concert

Our dancers had a great opportunity to get a taste of the "show life" in our recent Reel Rhythms concert. Held at the Dame Roma Mitchell Theatre in Golden Grove, the show was a great success and signified the end of all this year's hard work and practice!

Every dancer in the school was able to take part and had the opportunity to show of their skills to family and friends. The concert featured many of our classic performance pieces plus some new additions for this year.

Our newest dancers took to the concert stage for before watching the "big girls and boys" from the wings, while some of our elementary and intermediate girls stepped out in our big troupe pieces for the first time. We were even treated to some live traditional Irish music  - a cameo appearance from our very own Connor and "Granny Beth", accompanied by friend Kathy.

We also got to debut some gorgeous new costumes created specially for us for this year's concert. Hours of sewing, ironing and gluing went into the costume preparations.

Overall it was a fun night and a great show! Be sure to keep an eye on the site and Facebook to stay up to date with our upcoming performances! And don't worry if you missed out - Reel Rhythms is an annual event, so make sure you come along to next year's concert!
